A fuzzy clustering approach for power system security analysis is discussed. This paper presents an overview of power system security, provides justification for a fuzzy approach to security analysis, develops the mathematical framework for the fuzzy C-mean clustering of power system variables, and provides some preliminary results for a B-Bus and the IEEE 14-Bus
