Abstract :
Current trends in education have already led to a redefinition of the teachers´ role from mere providers of knowledge to learning designers. The process of Learning Design (LD) authoring is essential for the success of teachers in their new role. The present article introduces Mentor, a hybrid Recommender System (RS) that exploits existing LDs, compatible with the IMS LD specification, in order to support teachers by recommending templates to aid the LD authoring process. Currently, we are implementing Mentor as a recommendation service within LAMS so as to be valuable and useful to teachers´ communities.
