Abstract :
In this work, the design, development and verification approach of an active phased array fed transmit reflector antenna is presented. The antenna, which is designed for a space application, operates at K-band with a 5% bandwidth and provides a high gain narrow beam with a scanning capability. The integration steps of the feed array antenna with the beam forming electronics behind and the reflector are explained. The measurement results obtained with the engineering model of the antenna are presented and compared with the simulation results to verify the antenna performance with respect to the predictions.
