Abstract :
The accuracy of rainfall rate prediction methods must be assessed given their significant influence on the performance of rain attenuation models. Taking advantage of the large amount of rain gauge data available at UPM that can be used for model testing thanks to a recent integration conversion procedure, the predictions provided by ITU-R P.837-6 and by a newly published rainfall rate prediction method are compared.
