Abstract :
The performance improvement of a selective repeat ARQ scheme which uses signal reliability information for data recovery is analyzed. A set of error patterns is generated whenever a packet is detected in error. The formation of the error patterns is governed by the reliability weights assigned to the received bits. This error correcting technique attempts to correct the erroneous packet with no additional packet redundancy
