Abstract
This article presents the results of the authors´ research, in which a group of post-graduate students of the School of Business Administration of Cali, Colombia studied the models and processes that exemplify intelligent organizations. These characteristics were found to be closely associated with other traits such as innovation, competitiveness and productivity-as evidenced by an analysis of twelve different companies in the region
