  • Abstract
    This paper discusses the changes and adaptations made on the original 1-bit active elementary cell for fabrications and optimization purpose. The changes improve the directivity value and the side lobes level. Moreover it also offers possibility to integrate directly radome protection layer on the reflectarray. 21×21 active reflectarray is simulated with CST and the simulation results shows that the optimized design performs better and produces higher directivity.
