Abstract :
In this paper, a novel rectifier with boost capability is presented. Through control the phase delay angle, the rectifier switches the operating mode from parallel to serial of two sets of power supplies, which is simplified from PMSG. Compared to other topology used in PMSG based variable speed system, the proposed rectifier features low cost, simple control and reliable structure. The topology can be used for most of the wind energy conversion system with speed range 2:1.
