Abstract :
This paper presents a novel prototype of a new conceptual electromagnetic induction fluid heating appliance series capacitor-compensated load resonant high-frequency inverter with a phase-shifted PWM and power factor correction. Its operating characteristics in the steady-state are illustrated and evaluated on the basis of computer simulation and experimental results. The promising cost-effective application of this electromagnetic induction-heated fluid-heating appliances is proposed, which is more suitable for industrial, chemical and consumer utilizations from a practical point of view.
