Abstract :
We present the first experimental demonstration of trans-Atlantic transmission using DWDM 20 Gb/s channels. A total capacity of 640 Gb/s (32/spl times/20 Gb/s) was transmitted 6200 km with a spectral efficiency of 31 %.
