Abstract
Two pilots aided channel estimation methods, which use time-frequency and frequency-transform domain methods, are proposed. Their performances were contrasted by using them in the same channel conditions, and their favorite application environments were analyzed. The time-frequency method is used in an adaptive OFDM system in assistance of the channel and bit allocations. Through comparison, the effect of estimation error on system performance is studied.
