Abstract :
A protocol architecture is described that is suitable for communication between devices or resources attached to Ethernet networks using Xerox Network Systems (XNS), TCP/IP and X.25 protocols. The functional hardware configuration is presented. The protocol architecture is described in terms of the International Standards Organization Open Systems Interconnection (ISO/OSI) reference model.<>
