Abstract :
Research on topics related to Internet dates in Chile since the verybeginning of its deployment in the country. Research on Web issues date from the late nineties, and was consolidated with the creation of the center for Web research (CWR) in the year 2002. A relevant by-product of the CWR´sactivities was the recent opening of a Yahoo! research laboratory at Santiago of Chile. In this paper we survey the lines of research on the Webwhich have been pursued in Chile.
