Abstract
The GS linearization algorithm developed by Gardner and Shadwick (1992) is a very effective method for computing input-state linearizing coordinates for general nonlinear control systems. In this study, we apply this algorithm to the input-output exact linearization problem. Both SISO and MIMO problems are treated. The method is easy to use and significantly reduces computational requirements.
