Abstract :
Limited feedback for precoding matrices is very practical in the multiple-input multiple-output antenna communication system. In this paper, a capacity criterion is proposed to design the precoding codebook, which emphasizes the negative impacts of the limited feedback and maximizes the capacity directly. Then, the generalized Lloyd algorithm is used to construct the precoding codebook according to the proposed criterion. Lastly, Monte Carlo simulations are presented to verify the feasibilities and advantages of the new designed codebook.
