Abstract :
In this paper, we have analytically studied the potential rise using the FDTD (finite-difference time-domain) method to prove the effects of the deeply buried grounding electrodes, which have been applied to the grounding system of a mobile phone base station. From the results, it has become obvious that a grounding system using deeply buried grounding electrodes is efficiently able to control the potential rise near the earth´s surface, and is able to reduce the influence of this potential rise on the surroundings of the grounding electrode.
