Abstract
The design of and research results on the flat multielement W-band phased antenna array (PAA) with two-dimensional beam scanning are presented. Faraday type waveguide ferrite phase shifter (WFPS) with extremely fast response time and waveguide-dielectric radiators having cross sectional dimensions less then 1,25 wavelengths are used as PAA elements. The directional properties of waveguide-dielectric radiator far field pattern allow suppressing the PAA grating lobes within a beamscanning sector of /spl plusmn/15/spl deg/.
