  • Abstract
    The utilization of frequency ranges of up to 3 GHz (5...65 MHz for return channel, 47...860 MHz for CTV transmission, 950...2150 MHz for satellite IF, 2500...2700 MHz for MMDS) in cable TV necessitated the design of a device allowing for the levels of spectral components in the given ranges to be measured. The LFM 300 measures the AFC and PFC of passive and active devices in the 5...1000 MHz range, as well as amplifier intermodulation distortion (IMA 3 according to DIN 45004) across the top range of the TV channels transmitted over cable. The report presents technical solutions behind the design of the device.
