  • Abstract
This paper presents a hybrid differential method for analyzing multilayered planar microwave structures, based on the method of lines, using a nonequidistant discretization. The flexibility of this method is increased substantially. As a consequence, the accuracy is improved with reduced computational effort. There is no restriction on the number of strips nor on the number of dielectric layers. Our formulation uses full-wave analysis, which does not involve quasistatic approximation. Computational results show good agreement with those presently available in the literature.
