Abstract :
Knowledge of petroleum engineering specialty is applied throughout the entire process of oilfield production, the petroleum engineering course is very important in petroleum engineering specialty. In the context that the professionals who engage in the oil production are currently asked to enhance the learning of the special knowledge of petroleum engineering, it is necessary for petroleum colleges to develop a network course which makes the non-petroleum professional students and people engaged in the oil production learn by themselves. E-learning is a digital learning method on the condition of network. The range of its application is extending gradually. E-learning method is introduced and the "petroleum engineering" online course is set up based on the WebCT course platform in campus network. Students can learn all aspects of special knowledge of the Petroleum Engineering curriculum systematically and completely through the network by themselves and good learning effect is achieved.
