Abstract
Hurun report has been widely considered as an important guide to keep track of changes in Chinese entrepreneurs since created in 1999. This paper describes the biographical characteristics focused on three aspects of age, gender and educational level, then analyzes entrepreneurial motivation, the industry distribution and wealth trends based on the data of Hurun in 2003~2008. It is the interpretation of outstanding Chinese entrepreneurs at different aspects that is aimed at highlighting and reflecting the development of entrepreneurial activities and private economic in the context of the transition economy.
