Abstract
Microstrip antenna (MSA) is quite flexible and has been used as conformal antenna mounted on arbitrary surface. Conformal finite-difference time-domain (CFDTD) method has shown excellent versatility. In this paper, CFDTD is applied to analyze microstrip patch antenna mounted on conical surface. Based on the analysis, an omnidirectional 4times4 millimeter wave (MMW) conformal microstrip antenna array which works at 35 GHz is developed. The measured data shows good agreement with simulation.
