Abstract
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) can be deployed in a non-intrusive way in outdoor and indoor environments, due its reduced size and wireless communication media. Some networks are deployed in hazardous and inaccessible places where change of battery is either prohibitive or an expensive solution. This way, energy economy is one of the most important characteristic in a WSN approach. In this paper, is presented DPAWSN -- a decentralized power aware approach for data fusion applications in WSN. Test results based in real motes implementation confirm the approach effectiveness.
