Abstract
In this paper, an adaptive control scheme is developed to study finite time synchronization behavior between two identical or different chaotic systems with known or unknown parameters. This finite time adaptive synchronization controller is designed based on Lyapunov stability theory and finite time stability theory, an analytic expression of the controller without or with its adaptive laws of parameters is shown. The finite time adaptive synchronization between two different hyper chaotic systems (Lü and Chen) are taken as illustrative examples to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulations are shown to verify the results.
