Abstract
Nonmaterial culture conservation is an important and urgent mission for all nations and people. The conservation of nonmaterial cultures not only means exhibiting them in TV programs but also recording all the close related items of them and propagandizing them in social education. The good conservation depends on good technology. With the application of multimedia database and web technology, multimedia information can be collected and transferred in internet. The platform of nonmaterial culture conservation aims to create a web-based multimedia system which can support the collection, classification and distribution of multimedia data about nonmaterial culture. The platform also can server the society as a social education website to propagandize the knowledge of nonmaterial culture and show the brilliant culture in detail by multimedia technology. The paper discusses the structure of system and key technologies applied in the platform, generates a route of nonmaterial culture conservation.
