Abstract :
A width of surface swath, which is observed by a synthetic aperture radar (SAR swath width), is limited by the value, which is determined by a condition for lack of range ambiguities in the SAR-formed image (SFI). Existing techniques of SAR signals generation and processing provide SAR swath widening by special coding of transmitted pulses, by multiple beam (in the elevation plane) antenna system use in transmitting and receiving modes and also by elevation plane discrete scanning. These techniques´ shortcomings are great volume of hardware and (or) reduced azimuth resolution. The authors of this paper have proposed a modification of the last technique.
