Abstract :
Compact fluorescent systems are rapidly becoming an important energy efficient lighting application. These systems are primarily used to replace less efficient incandescent lighting. The dimming technology for compact fluorescent systems is now available to make this product a more direct replacement for dimmable incandescent applications. A remaining concern is the performance of the dimmable compact fluorescent systems with regard to color temperature shift. The unknown color shift of these compact fluorescent systems could greatly affect their suitability in certain applications. This dimming experiment investigated the compact fluorescent system operation in a simulated ceiling fixture
