Abstract
A method based on the revision principle for approximate reasoning in fuzzy-valued logic and fuzzy-linguistic-valued logic is introduced. Two kinds of fuzzy truth as well as the two types of fuzzy linguistic truth, which are constructed by the combination of the former, are distinguished. The revision principle for approximate reasoning in fuzzy-valued logic is introduced. The method is extended to approximate reasoning in fuzzy-linguistic-valued logic. With the unification of universe of discourse, the method can be used for fuzzy linguistic concept inference
