Abstract
Fabry-Perot (FP) type Leaky-Wave antennas (LWA) in the near-infrared (NIR) are analized in this contribution. The proposed antennas are capable of frequency-controlled beam steering and offer high directivity. Numerical full wave simulations together with reciprocity were performed to calculate the near- and far-field radiation pattern in order to demonstrate the operation principle and design flexibility at optical frequencies. Our results indicate a 12.8 dBi directivity at the frequency of operation with a 3-dB fractional bandwidth of 5.4%.
