Abstract :
From the viewpoint of engineering practice, the accuracy requirement of building settlement observation and the implementation process are discussed in detail in this paper, and the process of how to calculate the data are discussed as well, in some special cases, whether the occurred settlement effects the safety of buildings were studied. In the end, this paper puts forward the solution for building settlement observation and the methods of how to judge the building settlement according to the tilt quantity. This paper gives some important instruction in the field of building settlement observation.
