  • Abstract
    A substrate integrated waveguide (SIW)-fed antipodal linear tapered slot antenna (ALTSA) with tapered microstrip-to-SIW transition for millimeter-wave (MMW) applications are presented. The antenna gain is 14.7 ± 0.5 dBi over the band of interest (50-70 GHz), while a radiation efficiency of 95% is achieved. Rectangular corrugation is added to the antenna, resulting in very low cross-polarization levels and relatively low sidelobe levels. The SIW, ALTSA and transition all designed in a single layer substrate. The given design parameters are obtained using both CST and HFSS simulators.
