Abstract :
By constantly monitoring the tire pressure and temperature, the risk of accidents caused by blowouts can be reduced. Keeping tires at optimum pressure will also save money by increasing the fuel economy and reduce the time the aircraft spends in the hangars having a mechanic looking at each tire individually. Most of existing tire monitoring systems can not auto-adjust the abnormal tire pressure and temperature. In order to overcome the shortcoming of traditional direct TPMS, a wireless embedded system based RF (radio frequency identification) and internet technology has been put forward. The system is composed of LPC2214, some other sensor module as hardware platform and the μC/OS-II as embedded real-time operation system. It not only has traditional function such as real-time monitoring, displaying tire pressure and temperature, auto-alarm for the abnormal tire pressure, but can auto-adjust the abnormal tire pressure and set parameters. These will improve aircraft landing security and tire exploration can be effectively avoided.
