  • Abstract
A compact antenna with dual-frequency and dual-polarization is proposed for LTE applications. Two mutually orthogonal Y-shaped bowtie radiators were adopted to provide broadband coverage for MIMO operation. Further improvement in the front-to-back ratio (F/B ratio) was achieved through the introduction of both the reflector at lower frequency band and the director at higher frequency band. The proposed antenna demonstrated an impedance bandwidth (S11<;-10 dB) from 684-998 MHz and 1627-2990 MHz with more than 5 dBi gain covering the most of LTE bands except Band 11, 21, 42 and 43.
