Speed Regulator of Diesel-Generator Based on Model Free Adaptive Control

Abstract :
The conventional model of diesel engine-generator control system used for automatic power station control is crucially extended to include speed, frequency and load. An on-line speed regulator for diesel engine power station was developed based on model free adaptive (MFA) controller. The proposed speed control strategy in this work consists of a main speed loop and a feed forward load loop. The control algorithm is organised in MFA controller which operates on a standard speed error signal and a power signal. The simulation results show that this speed governor system could operate stably, and all performances are quite well both at static state and at dynamic state.
