Abstract :
The report presents a brief review of the modern concept of compensation of stable ion beams. Such methods of compensation are described, and qualitative estimations of achievable compensation degrees are also given for three varying cases: (1) a stationary beam of high energy; (2) a stationary beam of low energy; and (3) pulsed beams of both high and low energy
