Abstract
Effects on electromagnetic (EM) exposure inside a vehicle due to an antenna placed at different locations are studied. Results show that the lower EM exposure is seen for an antenna placed at the bottom location (underbelly) compared to the top and rear locations. It is also found that the first eigenmode corresponds well to the most dominant lowest frequency peak in EM exposure. Impact of real grounds is also evaluated showing that only the exposure from the underbelly antenna is impacted in a positive way.
