Abstract :
Cycle Spinning has been well recognized as an effective approach to mitigating the psendo-Gibbs phenomenon in image denoising, but its application in image fusion has seldom mentioned. In this paper, ire have attempted to incorporate Cycle Spinning with wavelet transform to improve image fusion. Our experiments show that this approach can mitigate the distortion caused by the lack of translation invariance in wavelet transform, and effectively preserve the details of images. Our experiments also show substantial PSNR advancement as well as obvious visual improvement in fused images.
