Abstract :
Summary form only given. This paper describes a new design of a compact, conduction cooled, periodic permanent magnet (PPM) focused, W-band, folded waveguide TWT covering the 90-100 GHz frequency band with 50 to 100 W (CW) output power. Also described are technologies that reduce the required beam voltage from 20 kV to 12 kV, reduce losses and reflections near the circuit/transition interface, reduce cost, and increase the frequency range from W-band to 500 GHz and higher.
