Abstract
When D-STATCOM is used in load comprehensive compensation, the preciseness of detecting the compensation current required by the system is very important for compensation effects. There are many detection methods at present. This paper describes and analyzes the principle of the traditional id-iq detection method, and presents and simulates a improved id-iq detection method to eliminate the errors of the traditional method. The simulation results show that the improved method can accurately detect the harmonics, reactive and negative sequence component of load current even under the asymmetric condition, and the accuracy and superiority of the method are verified as well.
