Abstract :
Adaptive channel equalization algorithms are commonly used in wireless communications receivers to counter time-varying channel degradations. We obtain approximate expressions for the optimal bit-allocation factor for the quantized LMS algorithm, which determines the proportion of bits allocated to the data versus that allocated to the coefficients
