Abstract :
We propose a simple technique for simultaneous recording of two optical beams using a single optical chopper, detector and lock-in amplifier. The new feature of our method is based on chopping the two beams with the same frequency but with a phase shift. The corresponding electrical signals from the detector are measured as the in-phase and the quadrature signal by the lock-in amplifier
