Abstract
A new technique is proposed for side-lobe and axial-ratio control of circularly-polarized phased arrays. The technique is a generalization of the well-known sequential-rotation technique using linearly-polarized array elements. Although a regular array grid is used, properties similar to traditional random arrays can be obtained. A clear improvement of the diagonal (D)-plane scan performance is reported.
