Abstract
This work presents a wideband impedance matching technique of integrated antennas and CMOS low noise amplifiers for a multi-band UWB receiver. Reflection and insertion loss are reduced by the direct interconnection between dipole antennas and differential low noise amplifiers without an intermediate balun. The wideband impedance matching is achieved by designing impedance ripples in the frequency response of reactive circuits to match the frequency-dependent antenna impedance. Simulation results demonstrate that this design scheme is feasible for CMOS technology.
