Abstract :
An impulse response approach was applied for analysis of acoustic field, creating by the end of the transducer with waveguide having multilayered (multi-tube) structure and considering it as an annular array. This approach is based on calculation of 3-D impulse response acoustic field generated by flat annular arrays of different apertures under unit impulse excitation. A quick damping transient field has been obtained by selecting certain thickness of layers and distance between them. Tests were conducted with transducers (length 60 mm) having waveguides filled with spiraled metal foil of 0.2 mm (carbon steel) and 0.1 mm (stainless steel). Tests provided transmitting through water short wave packet of 1MHz with SNR about 20.
