System implications of embedded generation and its protection and control. PES perspective
Author_Institution :

Abstract :
Irrespective of one´s viewpoint the reality of an increasing level of dispersed embedded generation connected to the transmission and distribution networks of public electricity suppliers (PESs) must be recognised. These connections have the potential to impact significantly upon the operation and development of such networks. While this paper provides a perspective based upon experience within Northern Ireland it would be anticipated that the principles would, in general, mirror those across similar other electricity utilities
