Abstract :
In this paper, a wideband four element quarter split cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna (CDRA) designed for 5.0 GHz WLAN and WiMAX band. The input characteristics and far field pattern of the proposed antenna has been studied through Ansoft HFSS simulation software. The |S11| characteristics of the proposed antenna and single element quarter split CDRA of the same size has been compared. The proposed antenna has uniform monopole like radiation pattern over complete band (4.5-8.6 GHz) with ~60% bandwidth.
