  • Abstract
    Huantai county is a typical well-irrigated district in North China, where the surface water resources is scared and the groundwater is the main resources exploited for agricultural and industrial production and living, however the groundwater level had been declining in recent years. Aiming at exploiting the groundwater reasonably and maintaining water resources balance of the region, the paper presented control scheme of groundwater and applied Visual Modflow to numerical simulation based on analyzing historical changes, recharge and discharge processes of groundwater of the region. The research provides important evidence of strategic decision for protection and sustainable use of groundwater resources for well-irrigated district.
