Abstract
Use of fuzzy logic control (FLC) system in combination with LON ( Local Operation NetworkR) - technology for control and power management of air conditioning (AC) systems increases the exchange of control information of the system. Instead of using one actuator (usually control valve) in common control strategy for temperature control, we use now two actuators (valve and pump) for optimal control of a supply temperature of an AC system. Using variable speed operated pumps for the heat exchangers reduces enormously the electrical power consumption of the pump during the control mode of the system. The control information exchange system provided by LON works ensures that only one of the actuators executes the control task within the scan time cycle, which is important for robust control. Based on the experience of using FC system for non linear AC- systems, two fuzzy controllers for valve and variable speed control of the pump provides best results for the quality of a supply air temperature control loop and power management for control pumps.
