Abstract
Malayalam is one of the prominent regional languages of Indian subcontinent spoken by over 35 million people. Being an agglutinative language, word generation in Malayalam Language is really challenging. This paper discusses about the sandhi rules for generating affixed and compound words from their components. The challenges faced in the design of the system are also discussed.
