Abstract :
In this paper, by exploring the similarity between the multi-user detector and the transversal equalizer, we propose a new type of detector named the adaptive transversal multi-user detector. It applies most of the achievements of equalizers to the new detector, making the design and analysis of the detector much more tractable. Analysis and simulations show that the detector can quickly converge to a small mean square error form for most initial values. It has a constant decision delay and enhanced performance of signal detection in severe near-far detriments
